Firmware upgrade question

Just a quick question.
I have downlowded the instructions and noticed that it only mentions the rsp 1066. I have the rsx 1055. I was wondering does it make a difference or are they exactly the same :huh:

The firmware is identical for the 1055 and 1066 models...so long as you are applying the right version (i.e. version 1 or 2)

so am I safe to assume that it doesn't matter what i put in the connection description menu RSP 1066.
Or do I put in RSX 1055.

Description is just for your reference.. Since the connection is the same for all models, I just labeled mine ROTEL...

I hav a problem.
On my laptop I only have one printer port and one moniter out port.
Neither are a rs 232 port.
What do I do? :cry:

Farbs what you need to buy is a USB to Serial adapter. The best one is one called the Keyspan and its often sold in places that also sell Mac computers. There are cheap no name adapters that might work as well but their software isn't usually as adaptive as the Keyspan's which can come in handy for setting the com port or baud rates etc.

I am now a proud owner of a 1055 with v2.2.6.
Took all of 7 min to download (after about 3 or 4 attempts). Borrowed a mates laptop.
Anyway thanks for all the advice!
Time to go and play
