    Help - Do I need a Processor for my Amps?

    I NEED HELP.HAVE A RA931 AMP,RTC940AX TUNER, RCD950 CD PLAYER AND HERE`S WHERE THE PROBLEM STARTS. JUST BOUGHT A 980 RDA DIGITAL SURROUND ADAPTER.I`M GUESSING I NEED A PROCESSOR TO GET SURROUND.BUT AM I CHASING MY TAIL? WILL THE COMPONENTS I HAVE ALLOW ME TO HAVE A SURROUND SYSTEM.IF SO HOW AND IF NOT ANY SUGGESTIONS.I,M BUILDING A SYSTEM AND HAVE TWO b&W SPEAKERS AT THE PRESENT.

    Yes, you will need a pre/pro. Example: RSP-980 or one of the similar preamp/ processors. I would assume your'e RA-931 is an integrated amp? If so you have 2 channel only capabilities even with your'e RDA-980. I had entered into Rotel with their RSP-980, RDA-980, and RDA-985. The current surround processors are hard to beat although the RSP-980 had analog 2 channel that was hard to beat.
