    1055 Question

I know this may sound dumb but I just pick this unit up a couple of days ago and I was looking for a sleep function and could not find one. Thanks to anyone that could help me with this problem.

    Welcome to the guide LTH.

I'm probably not the best person to answer this question in that I generally don't use sleep function features, but, to my knowledge there isn't one, at least on the 1066 pre-pro. I scanned the owner's manual, but didn't notice this feature being mentioned and I thought the featues of the 1066 were pretty much the same as the 1055. Maybe someone else will chime in.

The pre-amp part of the 1066 and 1055 are identical, so if its not on the 1055, then its not on the 1066 (this doesnt work the other way around, since the 1055 has a tuner).
So, no sleep function unfortunatly, although I dont use it anyway, since my RB1090 wont turn off automatically (and no 12volt line on it also).

        Rotel 1065 v. 1055 v. 1066
        by spacey
        All,

I am seriously considering the purchase of a Rotel 1065 receiver, and have been reviewing the posts on this forum. I note that there is a lot of info on the 1066+Amp, and 1055, but relatively little on the 1065. I will be using it with B&W N804, N805, and HTM2.

        Q: S/N on 1055 vs 1066 ?
        by Gary Stevens
        Greetings!

I've been pondering the tradeoff between a 1066 and a 1055 and I am wondering if anyone has any info or experiences with the relative signal to noise ratios.

I believe that Andrew noted in another thread (on another forum?) that Rotel stated the S/N ratio of...

Stick to RSX1065 or go to 1055/1075 separates?
        by BleakShore
I guess I'd like to hear/learn advices/experiences from those who have gone this route.

That is, stick with the RSX1066, or exchange it for the RSX1055/RMB1075 combo? I bought it from Myer-Emco so I can do the exchange with no penalty.

        The reason I'm contemplating this...

Ok, I bought my yamaha 992 receiver in 1997 when it first was released. I thought this was the greatest receiver and that I would stick w/ yamaha from then on out.
