Hi,
Got a question about upgrade paths. I have an early receiver (RSX-965), mind you it does DTS and has a 5.1 analog input. Bass management in DTS, and in DVD-Audio is an issue (not in DD). Because I want to use the sub (Servo-15) in stereo I have my mains out going to an X-30 Xover and can extract the .1 by selecting mains=large and sub "no". In DTS all channels default to large so depending on the mix, some DTS titles are bass shy. Should I live with it and buy a 5 channel amp, and use the 965 as a pre/pro, or get another receiver like a 1056? I wouldn't keep the 965 forever, just a few more years. What would you do?
