Marantz DP870 with msb dts upgrade?

Hello All,

I know this is "old school" but anyone using this prossessor with the DTS upgrade? I'm using the DP870 with a Yamaha RX-V3000 in the bedroom. Major difference in sound when I A/B Dolbly Digital DVD/ HDTV shows. There's a DP870 with msb dts upgrade on sale on audiogon. Wondering if these a difference with the DTS.

I've used it with dts laser discs and it sounds great.That company did some pretty good upgrades.What are they asking ?

The upgrade alone was 159.00 or something.Yes, if it suit's your needs.

If you can get a RC-2000mkII (big marantz remote) the volume IR command is on there.Without it you will be getting up and down.Maybe you can find a Marantz dealer that you can learn the remote code to your remote if it is capable of learning commands.I enjoyed that unit for years.You are limited to 5.1 thought.
