From what I understand, bridged power is never good as unbridged for two reasons: 1. possible noise is introduced in bridging and 2. Current capacity is halved when bridged.

Current is extremely important in controlling large low ohm drivers.
I would look at running them unbridged or go with a different amp. I personally have HK 5800 5ch amp and this thing is great with great HK sound. Although its only 80W/ch Runs my 4 ohm speakers well, almost well as my 200w/ch Rotel. With the extra channels, you can try passive biamping....Good luck.

Can a 8 ohm rated receiver drive 6 ohm speakers?

Also I've read an interesting article:

      "If you hear something of
an "8 ohm amplifier", then we think usually of 8 ohm speakers.

These are amateurs calling for help in the forums,...

Is there a difference using 4 ohm amps with B&W's
      by goe2112
Is there a difference between a 4 ohm amp and an 8 ohm amp to drive B&W's, particularly the N804s. I'm interested in an Advantgarde "A" 90 watt 2 channel amp (Swiss company). I'm looking for a fuller sound at low to moderate sound levels, I live in an apartment and can't crank it.

      Bridged RB1070 for HTM3S?
      by gc8ej25
The recommended power for the HTM3S is 50-250W and I have an RB1070 available to power it. In bridged mode, this amp puts out 330W at 8 ohms. Is this overkill or damaging for the speaker if the levels are within reason? Thanks in advance, guys.

      2 x RB1070 Bridged V's 1 x RB 1080 ?
      by bleeding ears
Hi again guys, looks like I am going to have some time on my hands waiting for my preamp to get fixed so now I am pondering my next purchase.

I am considering using 2 RB1070 amps bridged to power my front speakers.
That should produce about 330 wattts per channel.

      In-Khan-Neatos and amp
      by jpphun
      Hi all,
I built the In-Khan-Neatos about two years ago for an inwall replacement fro some mains that failed, they have worked out great.
At the time I was using a HK PA4000 100Wx2 setting amp, a HK3375 as a pre and streaming music using a laptop headphone jack to RCA outs.
      When...
