    MC-1 trigger connection

I have yet to hook up the MC-1's remote trigger to power up my Citation amps. There was a thread on Digital Theater started by Ricky that I figured I would reference when the time came, but that forum seems to be down fror the past few days.
Just a quick check before I screw something up
If I remember correctly it was negative wire to ground, and positive wire to program. If any of you MC-1 users can confirm this that would be great.

    Thanks,
    Bob

Bob, what kind of trigger are you connecting to? 110 plug, mini-audio? what?

I don't recall exactly how mine is wired, but I could probably check. What I did was just buy a mini phono cable, cut the plug off on one end and bare wire it. With the MC-1, I don't think you could mess anything up, if you reverse it, it might not work, but let me research a bit and get back here... Before you do anything!

Bob, after thinking about this, I believe it has to be ground to negative, then positive to program, that's because that's where the trigger is sent, so it has to be positive.

I didn't verify this anywhere, but if your still uncomfortable, let me know.

Check your manual for both devices, if you have them just to verify that I am right.

Lex, The Citation's use a 1/8 mini phono plug.
I have a cable I used with my Ref 30 that I plan on cutting/ stripping the end to use on the lex side. I thought it was Positive to program, negative to ground. Just wanted to double check.
The system is up and running, I just have a few little things like this still left to do.
I also havent instaled my rear surrounds for 7.1 yet. Hopefully I will be able to find the time tomorrow.
So far using it in 5.1 I love the MC-1.

        Thanks for the help Lex

Last week, I sold my MC1 and one of my Citation 5.1 amps. My 2nd 5.1 amp is going to a friend later this month. I am replacing this wonderful combo with: DC1 version 4.0, Rogue Magnum 66 tube preamp with HT unity gain bypass, Parasound 2200II 250x2 amp, and Parasound 1205A 140x5 amp. For just a couple...

          12v Trigger Sanity Check
          by whmacs
          Hi all,
I recently had a new home threatre installed which consists of my current Onkyo 787 receiver acting as a processor and new Rotel RMB-1075 and RB-1070 providing the amplification for a 7.1 setup (which sounds fantasic btw). The problem being that my Onkyo doesn't have a 12 volt trigger...

          Using 12 volt trigger
          by BeeBop
I have an external amp I would like to use with my RX1050 stereo receiver - using the RX1050 as a pre-amp. I am using the pre-out to connect it to the amp and it is working well. However I cannot get the 12 volt trigger to work. Does anyone know what sort of plug the 12 volt trigger out requires? My...

Trigger for Cam-350 or CA-x01 Amps.
          by dmccombs
I have read the manual which was no help, so I hope you can help.

How do you set up the amp to us the +5vdc trigger?

I have wired up 1/8" male to male Mono cable between my Prepro and the IR In connection on the amp. On my Krell amps this was all I had to do.

CC3 or MC1 for Center Channel?
          by mdrake
I am going to purchase my center channel in the next couple of weeks. I was going to order the CC3 but I am wondering if I should order the MC1's and use them as a center as the image below shows? The logic behind the MC1 centers is so that the center and mains match perfectly. But then again the CC3...
