    music modes on MC-1

    Hello,

    Im curious as to what the audible differences there are to the music modes? Specifically "music surround", "music logic", and "logic 7".

      They are all based on the same alorithm. Logic 7 is the preset for Dolby Surround encoded films.
      Music Logic has more aggresive steering in the front hemisphere vs Music Surround which is a bit more benign.

          Buzz, are you saying that Logic 7 is not for 5.1 formats? Tell me I haven't been using Logic 7 for so long and it's not even 5.1. lol.

              Different beast. The original Logic 7 algorithm is for processing two channel sources (be they surround encoded or not). The Logic 7 extension on DD or DTS material simply does some steering in the surrounds.

I was going to order the CC3 but I am wondering if I should order the MC1's and use them as a center as the image below shows? The logic behind the MC1 centers is so that the center and mains match perfectly. But then again the CC3...

                  Any ideas. In pro logic the left channel is very quiet. In a couple music modes it works fine. In 2 channel audio-nothing. But the 5.1 Analogue in works fine?
                  In THX the left also does not work?
                  But in the test tone sound bursts all channels are fine???
