    Don -

Since the DTR 6.4 is so new, having officially just come to market last month, it is unlikely that very many people have even heard of it yet, much less bought one. (If someone already has one, I do hope they'll step up to the plate and let us know how they like it.) But from reading the specs http://www.integrahometheater.com/mo...s=receiver&p=s and feature list http://www.integrahometheater.com/mo...s=receiver&p=f , it looks like it could be a class leader / "competition-killer". If I were in the market for a receiver in its price range, (about $1,000), I'd sure want to get a close look at one.

The press release can be read here: http://www.gspr.com/integra/dtr64.html

Product overview from the Integra Home Theater site http://www.integrahometheater.com/mo...&m=DTR-6.4&p=i :

    DTR-6.4
6.1 Channel THX Select Certified Receiver

The DTR-6.4 is a powerful 6x100 Watt THX Select home theater receiver which features advanced digital DVD-A and SACD bass management, sophisticated video conversion and switching capabilities, and an impressive array of multi-room and integration options, including powered Zone 2, A-BUS, and rear IR and RS-232 inputs.

It features powerful 32-bit Dual-DSP audio processing for THX Surround EX, Dolby Digital EX and ProLogic II, DTS-ES, Neo:6, and the new DTS-96/24 format. The high quality 192 kHz/24-bit DAC found on each channel is combined with Integra's VLSC (Vector Linear Shaping Circuitry), previously found only on our high-end DVD players, to smooth the analog output, generating cleaner and more detailed audio reproduction.

The DTR-6.4's 5.1-channel analog input includes optional bass management, a feature that is critical when listening to high resolution DVD-A and SACDs. The incoming signals are digitized and then processed by the receiver's DSP to route low frequency information to a subwoofer while excluding it from small satellite speakers that are ill equipped to handle deep bass.

It performs composite to S-Video conversion using a 3-line digital comb filter for superior reproduction, and all video inputs are upconverted to 480i Component video to simplify connection to displays. Both component inputs are HD-ready, passing HD signals without distortion.
