RDC-7 settings

I was wondering what settings you guys are using on your RDC-7.

Speakers, do you have them set on small or large?

Bass, treble settings?

Do you use upsampling or not?

My front and center speakers are set on large ( B&W604S3 and B&WLCR600) and the rears on small.

Bass +2, treble +4.

Upsampling off.

I had hoped someone else would jump in and share their set up info with us, since I hate to just see my name in the most recent post column. :>)

Here's what I've got mine set with:

All my speakers are set to "Small" when I watch movies but I change the L/R fronts (Magnepan MG 3.6s) to Large if i am listening to stereo music for an extended time.

Both "0".

> Do you use upsampling or not?

Upsampling "on" -- I've found on digital sources, on "Stereo" (as opposed to "Direct" where this has no effect) that on many discs the smoothness of the sound is subtly enhanced using "upsampling'.

Although the RDC-7 does not define "large or small" speakers, the new Integra (not Integra Reseach) 8.3 DVD combo player does define these terms as follows "set a speaker to large if the main speaker cone is 12 cm (4.7 inches) or more"
