    No new news

    Hello everyone,
I have not heard any news on the ref70 getting any upgrades other then firmware correction upgrades.

I heard a rumor about a room correction system and internal processing of new audio formats. But according to B&K, there is no offical word on any of the above.

It's a shame, I would have purchased one if it was loaded up correctly. I firmly believe the took away to much and didn't add enough.

    Anyone else here anything?

            Ref 31

Sorry to dredge up the thread for what most would consider an irrelevant issue, but... I've got a B&K Ref 31 that I like and was wondering if it's a waste of time to hook it up to a Blu ray via analog. The manual is pretty specific about 2 channel pass through but I'm not sure what the DVD audio does. Will it pass the signal unmolested from a bluray player? If not, I'll just trade up, get a Playstation and go to HDMI. My kids are leaning toward that option (of course). Anyway, thanks for any info.

              borderdad,

I run my XA-1 (HD-DVD) player via the DVD-A input on my Ref 50 S1. I am very pleased with the results. It slowed me down form jumping on the HDMI wagon.

Thanks for the input. I'll give it a try. I'm sure it'll sound good but there will always be that nagging voice in my head that makes me wonder if it could be better just because some light or DolbyHD indicator comes on the reciever. Oh well, I'll just have to keep watching movies and comparing :T

                  Rotel remote #RR-1050 'chirping' noise!
                  by madmac
Hello Rotel fans and friends!!. My Rotel remote stops chirping when I press a button when the battery is getting low. Truth is, I actually prefer it to not 'chirp' when I press it's buttons.

Question? Is there something I can do to make it NOT chirp permanently?.

                  Hello Forum,

I currently have a Lexicon MC-1 processor and would really like to upgrade. I have been looking at the Parasound C1 and the MC-12. The MC-12 is really out of my price range at the moment because of the purchase of 2 A21 amps and 2 A23 amps in the past 3 months 8) .

                  CEDIA Show and Parasound
                  by iceman
I know this is like beating a dead horse, but does Parasound have any plans to anounce any upgrades for the C1 up the CEDIA show? Anyone who knows, I dont need specifics just a yes or no? It is pretty ridiculous spending 6000 on a processor that has had almost zero news of any upgrades that I am aware...

                  by Andrew Pratt
Hey guys I was talking with Rotel this morning and I have some news I thought I'd pass along.

The 1098 has been given some fairly major upgrades after touring around the world at the various trade shows and from all accounts it looks like its going to be quite the product. There's been...

RSP-1098 Firmware updates - any new news?
                  by kneptune
Anyone aware of any new news on a pending firmware/feature update for the 1098?

There have been rumblings for months that a significant update is about to be released, but yet nothing, other than the recent v2.1.3 which only added a couple of small changes.

                  I'm hoping...
