    Comparison ROTEL / Parasound

    Hi,

    I am still very confused about what mark or model I should purchase (still have to do some listening…)

    Has anyone made a Rotel RSP-1098/RMB-1095 and HALO C2/A52 comparison? I’m not sure the difference is worth the bucks?

    I am also wondering where or how I can buy Rotel or Parasound for a reasonable price? I am from Belgium, so maybe somewhere in the Netherlands or Germany? Or maybe I should import from the USA?

    Maybe you have some ideas on the subject?

          Just did :-)
          And Dr Boom allready made me some things clear on the subject...

          It seems I really need some info on how to get Parasound for a normal price...
          Listprice for a C2 is about 5800€ so that makes 6950 US$ (including taxes)

              Whoa, Yikes! I've been amazed at prices for various equipment brands that people have posted from around the world. I think your best bet is to ask for Scarp's advice. He's in the Netherlands, and can steer you in the right direction. He doesn't really post much around here anymore, but you should still be able to reach him throug his links on his posts. Just read various posts here in Club Parasound and you'll find him.

                  How do the two brands compare to each other? I'm looking at audiogon and ebay and the pricing appear to be fairly similiar. If we compare the Rotel RB-1080 to the Parasound 2250 or the Halo A51 how do each stack up against each other?

                  I'm currently using a Marantz SR4200 receiver as a preamp (NAD C270 amp and Energy Veritas v2.1 speakers) for 2 channel music. I'd like to use the receiver in another room and replace it with either a Parasound P/HP 850 or Rotel RC 1070 preamp. I've read positive reviews on both and specs seems comparable....
