This is no April Fools Joke folks. During the next couple of days, we will be picking a day to migrate HTGuide to a new server. We will have the same reliable service we have always had, as we are not changing Hosting Services, only moving to a new updated state of the art server! Support is working to coordinate things right now.
We will announce the date of migration from old server to the new server in due time. We hope to minimize downtime while the DNS propagates to our new IP address, and service is restored. But some downtime is inevitable.
Chris, any update of this wish with the 7.1 analog inputs? I will be getting the Samsung BD-UP5000 and from what I have been reading it does not have speaker settings in it for distance and levels, only size.
Has Parasound addressed the 7.1 analog request yet?
If an inexpensive Outlaw 1070 receiver can do it then I would think the Halo C1/C2 would have no problem.....
Well, I can't speak officially for Parasound, but I'm pretty sure they see the 7.1 straight pass-through as being a good thing, where it's a pure signal that's not adulterated at all. So I don't know that we'll see this change in Parasound gear, at least the current generations.
Me, I'd like to see an option where you CAN do processing on 7.1 inputs, or it can be defeated for straight pass-through. I'm going to be moving into my house and setting up the new setup this week with new gear in addition to my Parasound, so I'll show you guys what I come up with for solutions.

Well, we're safe for now. Thank goodness we're in a bowling alley. - Pleasantville
My RSP-976 does not route any of the 2-channel analog inputs to the
surround outs. I.e. when I connect my DVD player to Video 1 using the analog audio inputs I get no sound regardless of what the input setting for Video 1 is in the menu. When I make the audio connection using one of the digital...
There has been some concern and confusion here about whether the programmable channels work on the C1/C2 when listening to a source through the 7.1 multichannel analog inputs.
I did some testing on my C1 to get the real answer in operation, not out of a book. The answer is that it depends...
So I received my new Toshiba HD-A1 HD-DVD Player today and I'm trying to hook it up via the analog inputs but I'm not getting any sound. I have Video1 on my Rotel RSX-1057 receiver set to Analog (Is there anything else that needs to be set?) but I didn't see anything on the Toshiba to set it to analog...
