C2 only 2 component in?

I was checking out the C2 again, in hopes of moving forward with a purchase now that I've decided I'll forego HDMI for a while, and discovered to my dismay that the C2 only has 2 component video inputs! So, that's a DVD player and a satellite dish and....oops, I'm out.

My 4802 has three, which isn't spectacular, but considering it is several years older and less expensive, I must say I'm surprised. I guess I have to go to the C1 to get three? Ouch, that's a big step up for something so small

Which is 2 too much, if you ask me. Video and Audio should be kept in separate boxes in a high-end system. (Otherwise you might as well go with a cost effective do-it-all receiver)...

Yes, 2 components for the C2, three for the C1. I have two of the three used in my C1, but I use HDMI now, so they're underutilized there.

So let me turn this into a better question...

what's a good external component switcher? Let's assume I need four inputs: D* receiver, DVD player, BluRay player, PS3 (i don't have them all, but it's not at all out of the question).

Personally, i wish my pre-pro would do this, but I can understand Peter's sentiment (each component has its focus and does it well and does only that). I'm just not sure if the $4k range is quite the level where you can assume everyone can (or wants to) afford an external switcher.

Zektor is always the first that comes to mind. The 4.1 model can be used as a component video switcher or 5.1 multichannel audio switcher. I've been thinking about one for switching multichannel audio.
