    Need Help...

    Hello Everybody,

This is my first post here on this club, I'm planning to move from Rotel to Parasound Sound... and I need your expertise and advise... I'm looking for a Good Stereo Pre/Power for my B&W 602S3's. (Later they will be upgraded to either 805's or something deserving) but for now I have to live with it... Rotel is very expensive in our part of the world... and hoping Parasound's are little cheaper here (Dealer is giving me the prices in a day or two) but the problem is, the dealer does not have anything for me to audition, so I have to take that risk of not making my ears to Judge those electronics... and needing your all guidance. I'm wanting to go in for P3 Stereo Pre Amplifier with either A21/23 Power Amplifier, I basically listen to Classical, Jazz, Female Vocals. and likes warm sound/sweet sound... I guess A21 is the one I’m leaning to. can I use other Pre with it, ... ;x(

Heya, thinkdifferent, and thanks for stopping by! You've got the right idea as to products. If you want REALLY high-end performance, Parasound is showing the JC-2 stereo pre-amp at CES this week. No reports as to price, yet, but this is supposed to be one of the best pre-amps EVER produced. The 2-channel world is really excited.

Well, we're safe for now. Thank goodness we're in a bowling alley.

Parasound New Classic may possibly be a little less expensive than Rotel.

I would say that Parasound Halo generally is more expensive than Rotel (but you also get features not on the Rotel, like balanced XLRs).

FWIW, the JC-2 is probably around $2000. Might be a bit overkill for the A21, but a good match with a pair of JC1s

        Parasound vs Musical Fidelity
        by HDBLU
        Hi All
        One little Question

Would the Parasound be above Musical Fidelity in brand names, I had the Musical Fidelity A5-5 but had a lot of trouble with it so I changed it for a Rotel RB1080 it was a lot cheaper so that why I did it.

The A5-5 sound quit a bit better...

        Ridiculous question about A21
        by Mike_Schmidt
I have been told by my dealer that the A21 and JC2 sound there best at 1100 oclock or higher. On CD I would not be able to play it that loud simply just to much with my TT different story. How true is this and can I turn the power up so I can dial it up? Proac D28's dont need much power to make them...

        Parasound or Rotel preamp?
        by rpt
I'm currently using a Marantz SR4200 receiver as a preamp (NAD C270 amp and Energy Veritas v2.1 speakers) for 2 channel music. I'd like to use the receiver in another room and replace it with either a Parasound P/HP 850 or Rotel RC 1070 preamp. I've read positive reviews on both and specs seems comparable....
