    strange behavior with A21

last night my systems exhbited very strange behavior. All of a sudden I noticed the soundstage shifted pretty far to the left. The only way I could correct behavior was to power down both my P3 preamp and A21 amp. Has anyone noticed this? What could cause this? Should I be concerned that either or both my P3 or A21 is defective?

    Thanks in advance.

i have a A21, every once in a while when i turn it on, the right speaker is louder than the left, and it balances it self after being on for about 30 minutes or so, not excactley your problem, but i've read post with the same problem on this forum in the past.

I don't notice any shifting with my A21 (fed by an Anthem AVM-30). The only times I had soundstage shifts like that was when I used Logic7 long ago and the algorithm would get screwed up from time to time. I don't leave the A21 on or even plugged in, so it's not a warm-up problem for mine.

I was getting very frustrated with my a21 amp because I could get the sound to center consistently. Sometimes the sound would come from left center, other times right center, and sometimes in the center. I would of course constantly adjust the gain pots that are on the back of the a21. No matter...

            Pistonic Behavior

Pistonic behavior in a loudspeaker refers to the ideal movement of the driver's diaphragm, where it moves in a piston-like manner. In other words, when the speaker reproduces sound, its diaphragm moves uniformly and maintains a constant relationship between the applied input signal and the resulting sound output. This behavior is crucial for accurate and faithful sound reproduction.

            Characteristics of Pistonic Behavior:

I recently received my Odyssey Tempest Extreme Pre Amp and the Eastern Electric Minimax Tube CD Player.

So finally I was able to hook up my Halo A21 with a quality Pre Amp and CD Player (and the Odyssey Nightingales speakers).

Well, after burning these components in for...
