Since the CI and C2 have been out like 4 years now any word on a replacement processor? Any thing at CES this year or no way? The 7100 which is cheaper is more of a fresh product. Thanks J.H.

No, I don't think we'll be seeing a replacement processor anytime soon. Yes, the 7100 is "fresher", but (mostly) not superior. I would anticipate upgrades to the C1/C2 shortly.

Just about a year ago, people on this forum were wanting and speculating on a new upgrade. I checked vincilabs. The Generation 7 DSP module has been out for a long time. Is Parasound planning on skiping this generation of processor?Comment

I am working on a system for my next projects work apartment. I was considering ether a Parasound 7100 processor or the Halo C2. I know the 7100 lacks balanced outputs, but that isn't in issue for the second system since I won't have balanced amps. Beyond that, are there any significant differences... -

Currently using a Yamaha RX-V1400 for Movie and SACD duties. I have dedicated Power Amps for Surrounds and Center, and run back through HT Passthrough on my Pre Amp for mains. I have superb two-channel audio and looking to upgrade the SACD sound in my setup.
