Depends on how far away you plan on putting the speakers from the wall. After some experimenting, I would say the N805's need at least 60 cm from the wall (more if you can) to sound their best, whereas SCM1 is designed for wall mounting. If you have the room, go the N805's, it will also be a good match with you HTM-2.

I personally like the idea of mounting the speakers on the wall, and not losing floor space. Plus with the 805's, you have to buy floor stands. if you have walls on both sides of the room, or a back wall, i would say scm1. or you could buy 2 sets of scm1's for 7.1. That is what I would like to do ideally long term.

I would recommend that you upgrade to the htm1 first though. It will make a bigger difference than upgrading surround speakers. You don't need to worry about blending your surrounds with your center as much as you do your mains.
I'm just sittin here watchin the wheels go round and round...

What about the wires when mtg scm1's?

Sikoniko; thanks for you thoughts and congrats on your sub purchase.Ive' always been concerned about the wires on wall mount speakers..i really dont feel like cutting chunks of wall out to hide them..i have no doubt wall mount sound better in a SS situation but this wire thing has me leaning to 805's on stands..they are just beautiful!

          Cheers
