    Diamond tweeter diaphragm

    Hi guys

I had an accident and the diamond tweeter diaphragm is broken. The tweeter still sound well. Does the whole tweeter need to be replaced or can they replace just the diaphragm?

The whole tweeter must be replaced. They do not supply the actual diaphragm on its own.

Shite. It still sounds like before the damage so to spend so much just because of a diaphragm doesn't make much sense

Yes, ouch! My condolences. It'll probably cost a couple of grand, so, check your insurance!

Im already on my second replacement Diamond tweeter, however on 2 different loudspeakers. The first was replaced under warranty, the second I had pay for myself after a moment of stupidity. Every time I walk into the room the first thing I do is look at all 3 of my tweeters, expecting that something self destructed overnight.

Do you not keep the grilles on them?

How to replace a dented B&W CM-4 speaker tweeter diaphragm
                    by bnieman
I just replaced my CM-4 tweeter diaphragm and thought others may benefit from my experience.

Here are my modified directions from Eric at B&W on how to disassemble the tweeter:

                    1. Remove grille, remove the 6 silver posts that the grill attaches too. Simply unscrew these...

                    Damaged Diamond Dome
                    by Angioguy
Just took delivery on a new pair of rosenut 802D's today but was disappointed to find that the one of the tweeters was broken. The opaque, white material just beneath the tweeter grill looks like broken egg shell, and I can almost see inside the tweeter: Is this a diaphragm or the diamond dome itself?...

                    "I did a Matrix tweeter.
You can do it two ways. Both require removing the tweeter housing.

                    Hi,
I bought a used pair of B&W CDM 9NT's on ebay and when they arrived the diaphragm on one of the tweeter's was crushed. I ordered a new one and just installed it myself. However, I can't get the tweeter to close completely securely around the new diaphragm. Furthermore, even with the...

                    "Blown" tweeter help/opinions needed
                    by whoaru99
Noticed one of my Paradigm Studio 100v2 speakers wasn't sounding quite right and found this (attached picture) on closer inspection.

Contacted Paradigm and their opinion was that the failure resulted from overdriving the speaker. Well, the tweeter still plays and the voice coil is not discolored/burnt....
