PM1 good idea for 10x12 room

What's your thoughts regarding the PM1 for a small 10x12 room? I'll have a sub and Rotel separates powering them. It's a bit over my budget but I think since its front-ported it will work better with the room and allow me to place them at the back wall. And, from what I understand, the PM1 is an entirely different beast than the cheaper (but rear-ported) CM5.

Yes, the PM1 should work fine in your room. I agree with it being front ported it would work out better for you than the CM5s since you are putting them against the wall.

The CM5 come with flow port bungs to block bass reflex. The bungs would retard extension but improve roll-off and smooth response, a catalyst for subwoofer integration. Stay within your budget. Will you be using stands?

Yes, either the CM5 or PM1 model's accompanying stands.

Okay. If you can manage it both are deserving of demo time.

B&W Bookshelf Speakers and Room Size
            by fozzer424
I'm having a look at some of B&W's bookshelf/monitor offerings (CM5, PM1, 805 Diamond). I know they're certainly more suited for smaller rooms, but how big is "too big" when it comes to room size with these types of speakers? Are there any guidelines or rules that you've learned over the...

            Compare 805s vs PM1
            by knot_m3
Has anyone try audition between 805s vs PM1 for the front channel of a home theater set?
Now, I already have htm4s for the center channel, Anthem MRX500 for the avr and Martin Logan Dynamo1000 for sub, and I'm deciding to buy a pair of new PM1 or used 805s for the front channels of my home theater...

            B&W PM1 me like
            by dan87951
I bought a pair of the PM1's to try out and after having them a while I really like them!

Foot Print: First of all these speakers are really small and I love how I can stick them just about anywhere without them being the focal point of the room.

            Looks: When I first saw...

            Upgrade from B&W 685. 703? CM5 S2.
            by Mark_89
            Hello,

as a long-time fan of B&W I have enjoyed my 68x-series theatre (fronts: 685, center: htm62, rear: 686 with a BK XXLS400 sub on a Marantz SR5003) for many years now. However, recently I have upgraded my job and now it's time for the speakers to follow suit. I absolutely love...

Can the CMC2 work with the CM5's?
            by Kristopher
            Hi, new here.

I'm thinking of getting the CM5's and instead of getting the CMC i want to get the CMC2 since it's a much better center. Will it blend well with the CM5's?

I could just get the CM9's but i don't want to spend that much on speakers yet. And i don't think...
