    CM Centre

Hello all, I've got a pair of 703s and I need a centre to go with them. I don't want a HTM7 as it's too big so I thought I'd go for a CM, but when I started looking on ebay I found this
    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1811400166...84.m1438.l2649
which is clearly a different animal to the current CM Centre.
Does anyone have an opinion on these two? Would the older CM still be a step up from the 600 series? Ideal would be the CM2, but too pricey for me...
    Grateful for any advice, thanks.

It looks like the auction has ended, so you'll have to tell us if you bought it. In case you're still shopping, I did want to offer that I have paired a current model CMC2 with my 703s. I think they match well--enough so, I bought 2 pairs of CM5s to complete my 7.1 media room. So I would think the current CMC would also be a good match for you.

FST Centre Chanel to go with 703s?
        by StanleyS
        Hi

I'm new to this forum, and I'm a B&W fan.

I have owned the 703s for a couple of years used strictly in stereo. I'm thinking of expanding into surround sound (mainly for movies) but do not have the space for the 700 series surround (too tall with the tweeter on...

        Hired Goon,

You sent me a PM - however I’ve taken the liberty of posting an extract from your PM and my response as this thread so that others can contribute – you face a big decision and deserve the benefits of a range of opinions….

        Amp audition for 703s
        by wgriel
Well, I just got back from a dealer where I spent about 2 hours auditioning a couple of integrated amps for my 703s.

At the moment, I've got my 703s hooked up to a Rotel RX-1052 which does sound very good, but I know I can get more out of the speakers.

        I am contemplating...

        Trading in 704s for 703s
        by mrpotto
Ok, so here's what I've decided to do. I'm trading my 704s in for 703s (I have a deal with a local dealer where I get to apply purchase price of 704s towards the 703s so it will be about $800 out of pocket to do so). For now I plan to keep my HTM7 center (I've read on some audio forums that the HTM&...
