B&W Zepplin thoughts?

So I have been wanting to be able to listen to music in my home again, and not having the budget to build a system like I had, was considering something like the Zepplin to fill the need for now. Can anyone give your impressions on it?

I don't own one, but I have always been very impressed with the sound quality and functionality of the display models. AirPlay is now available too. Its probably one of, if not the, best iPod/AirPlay speakers out there. Apple have changed their dock connector with the iPhone 5, and latest iPods. I'm not sure if there are adapters available, but I'd want to make sure my Zeppelin Air was at least a little future proof before parting with the cash.

I remember it being recieved well in the Stereophile review, but that was a few years ago. With the pace that everyting is advancing these days (DAC wise, etc.), not sure where is sits currently, though.

Are you planning on buying used?

I was thinking of that portable half-circle shape looking thing for a counter top that had a SeeDee player/amp & speakers that could take AVR type input, too. I think maybe Meridian for Music Fidelity made it.

Man, it sucks to get old & forget schiit all the time!

I have owned one for over 3 years and I still love it!

I know there are a few improvements on the "air" version, but for the most part I really enjoy the zeppelin. My wife uses it more than I and everyone that happens to hear it is always impressed with the sound.

If you can, pick up one second hand and save a few bucks, so if your not impressed, you wont be out much.

I've always been impressed with the Zeppelin when I've hear it, but some people have said the NAD Viso is actually better. There is supposed to be a new version of the Viso with airplay - shown at CEDIA last year but not (as far as I know) actually available yet.
