    speaker's buzzing noise

    Hello,
When I connect my speakers (both sides and center channel) to their respective amplifiers, I hear a humming/buzzing noise that will only go away if I turn off the amplifiers and not the sound processor. Do you know what the problem might be? Thanks

You've got a ground loop issue... disconnect the cable line into your cable box and see if it goes away. If it does then you need a ground loop isolator.

i had a similar problem and it turned out to be a bad board in my processor.i only heard the buzzing when i hooked up the 7.1 analog inputs from an oppo to the processor.when i disconnected the analog jacks it went away.it also crossed over to the hdmi.when the board was changed it was gone.
dont know your set up but you never know.we thought at first it was ground loop issue because it usually is.
just a thought if its not ground loop.good luck

        Exactly.

If you turn off your amplifier, of course it will go away because that is the source that is feeding power to your speakers.
        Mostly like a grounding loop.
I would say to disconnect your sources, as Pewter suggested. If the buzz is gone, then it's one of your sources.

If the buzz is still there even after disconnecting your sources, then disconnect the processor from the amp. If the buzz is gone, then I would suggest to play around and try different outputs from your processor.

If the buzz is still there even after disconnecting your processor, then you're down to your amp. At this point, it can be a multiple of things.
Try different speaker cable. If it's an amp with more than 3 channels, try a different channel. If nothing still resolves it, try a different power cord or try moving it to a different location in the house (the point is to move it to a different breaker).

I had a problem with one one channel.
It ended being that only the right front BALANCED output was fault on my Marantz AV7005. Unbalanced RCA output was fine, as was every other balanced and unbalanced output. So I had to send the unit back to Marantz to repair it. Good luck. Let us know if you still need any more tips on troubleshooting your buzzing problem.

Nasty Ground Loop - tried *everything*
            by SteveL
I've got the worst ground-loop noise thanks to my DishTV HD receiver... and I've tried almost everything I can to fix it. I'm *confident* it's from the Dish Receiver - as soon as I unplug the coax, the noise goes completely away.

            Here's what I've done:

Major Ground Loop after Direct TV upgrade from Dish.
            by mitch57
Thank You Very Much Direct TV!!! I upgraded (or should I say downgraded) from Dish to Direct TV. I bought a new 50" plasma and upgraded to HD. I knew that this was one of the first things I was going to be looking for after the installation.

            Ground Loop Hum

Any of you folks find the Rotel 1570 prone to experiencing Ground Loop Hums?

Seems that the Oppo BDP-95 connected via multi-channel analog creates the ground loop with the Rotel processor. If I disconnect the RCA cables, the ground loop disappears. If I use a cheater plug on the Oppo,...
