    Leo,

I think the center would lack for the Blu-Ray concerts.. Have you listened to the straight PCM Stereo tracks on the Blu-Ray..

When I had my 804s/HTM3s etc. I preferred the stereo mode better... Maybe you don't need a center at all..
    Main System:
    B&W 801D
    Emotiva USP-1 Pre-Amp
    Chord SPM-650 Stereo Amp
    Oppo BDP-105

    Second System:
    B&W CM7
    Emotiva UMC-1
    Emotiva UPA-2
    Oppo BDP-83SE
    Grant Fidelity DAC-09

Hi Stuart, yes I did and I liked but The problem is very difficult to me sell the central speaker so I will force to keep it. In the classe combo that I told you my dealer not could do a good discount and it is very expensive more the 25% over retail price but he could give a good discount in 802di so I'm thinking in go for the 802di if he receive my 804D

        I see...

But then you need an amp and pre/pro right? Or you keep using what you have?

Well, I think if you had 802Di, you would never use your HTM4d even for Blu-Ray.. I bet the 802Di by themselves would be better..

Also, is your room big enough for 802Di?

No, it is very small for them but I'm thinking in a near future that I can get a bigger place but all it are only ideas. today I was in my dealer and he no can give a better price for the classe so I need start again to find a new solution.

Seeing as you say your main uses are 2 channel music I don't see an issue so it should be just fine. This would of course differ if you were doing 70%+ multi-channel then getting the HTM2Di would be the way to go. With the HTM4 you get the diamond tweeter so that's a plus and since you probably won't be using it enough to notice a big difference in performance with it not having the FST mid range things should work very good.

You could always trade it in on a HTM2Di, that way you wouldn't have to worry about trying to sell it by itself and not part of a package which is more desireable to people. I would still try listing it on Audiogon, etc. to see if you get any bites. The HTM4 was designed more for the 805 so people looking to expand from a 2 channel 805 setup to a multi-channel setup would most likely be looking for a HTM4. It also goes well with the 804 as you know so people looking to expand a 2 channel 804 setup to a multi-channel setup would be looking at the HTM4.

Just a pure guess on this as I haven't heard the HTM4Di, but guessing from HTM2Di... is that the biggest thing you'll notice is that the 4di will have some boxiness to it as compared to the sound of the 802Di. That's the one thing I noticed from the HTM2Di is that there's almost none (if not any) boxiness sound in the vocals and it sounds pretty much exactly the same as the 802Di. It's really one of the most impressive centers I've ever heard because it just doesn't add or take away sound. Everything sounds completely natural! Which I like!!! And my HTM2Di is sitting above my TV and it images so good you hard ever notice that it's up there as the sound seems to come directly from the TV with it.

I agree though, if it's purely money that is sticking you with the 4Di, I don't think you'll be disappointed at all. Plus it'll be a nice trade in/sell for when you can get the HTM2Di if you'd want go that route!
                  Digital Audio makes me Happy.
