help with buying surround speakers

i got 804 diamond with htm4diamond
i dont have subwoffer yet
i would like to know if i doing a mistake taking cm1 to the rear chanel

i not going to listen to music in 5.1
just movies...

It is obviously not the perfect solution, but it is not a bad one..

I have run CM7 as rears with my 804s/HTM3s front end.. Sounded great..

The perfect solution would be identical speakers at all 5 positions.

But in your case, another set of 804S's for the rear channels is the best solution for matching the mains.

Try 804 Diamonds all around.

Hi nimrodasas, I was in the same road like you but I finally went with the 805D, the sound is soo good that if you can save for them is the best choice.

Yes.... This will sound awesome...

Matching speakers, however, is generally the best.. Not always possible, but is best..

I can tell you that matching speakers all around IS best and produces awesome results!!.

I personally think the best 800 Diamond combo for HT is:

Mains - 803 Diamond
Center - HTM2 Diamond
Surrounds - 804 Diamonds

The x-over points, drivers, and aesthetics I think are well integrated with this set.
