    is subwofer is my problem?

    i have a great system 804 diamond and htm4diamond
    with lx85 and m6i.
when listen to music in stereo only with the intgrated 804di sound amazing
but in h.t Ireally feel the sound is not exciting ,
dont get me wrong with new movies the sound is very good
but it feels thin and like somthing is missing
(i have before 600 series speakers with sub)

is a good sub will do alot of diffrent?

For me, when something is 'missing' from my 'HT' experience, I check my sub/center ch settings. Before you buy another sub i'd make sure all your x-over/LFE settings are set properly as well as your sub connections...no reason why you shouldn't have great HT sound.

nimridasas - what are your settings for the crossover? It might be a good idea to experiment with that and where you place your sub. Also, does your HT processor have Audessy? If yes, try listening to it with and without the Audessy processing and see what you like more.

For home theater.......get a sub and set it up properly. You'll be happy you did!!!.

You really do need a sub (or preferably two) for good HT...

I have to agree with this suggestion. You need a sub. And if your room isn't perfect, 2 really good subs (with proper placement) will produce much better results than one great sub, regardless of room correction electronics

Yes... The DB1 is much smaller then that.. It will fit for sure..

If I were in your shoes, I would get a JL Audio Fathom f112 or f113 over the DB1.

you have considered the pv1d? if you want a B&W sub this have very good review, personally I think that with that kind of money that you want burn in the DB1 you could sell your 804 and get the 802Di, I don't have any doubt that this will be the bigger improvement instead of a DV1. if you want known for my set up I will choose the velodyne optimum. Just IMHO.

Some guys in the forum said that in small room it can sound really good, so I think that is only get the best acoustic treatment for the room and you can enjoy this baby’s.
