    B&W Centre 2

    Hi everyone,

Is it possible to use a pair of B&W CM Centre 2 as left and right speakers in a stereo system? I know some center channels, like my Energy RC-LCR in my movie room, has the option of being used as a center or main speaker when placed vertically. I don't recall seeing any info on B&W's website about this, so I thought I'd ask.

It is not a typical LCR speaker as, the mid would be beside the tweeter if turned vertical. This would not be overly desirable.. I would not attempt..
    Main System:
    B&W 801D
    Emotiva USP-1 Pre-Amp
    Chord SPM-650 Stereo Amp
    Oppo BDP-105
    Squeezebox Touch

    Second System:
    B&W CM7
    Emotiva UMC-1
    Emotiva UPA-2
    Oppo BDP-83SE
    Grant Fidelity DAC-09

      HTM2D, HTM1D or 802D as centre?
      by ShadowZA
Assuming that your present front end speaker setup was: 802D (front left) - HTM2D (centre) - 802D (front right) and assuming further that the height and space factor was not an issue if you were to have an 802D for the centre, what would the best setup be from an audio quality perspective regarding...

Stupid baffle question - Woofer beside tweeter, why not again?
      by wigginjs
I know that it is a commonly understood design rule not the place the woofer and tweeter horizontally beside each other in a two-way speaker, but why not again? Is it because it generally makes for a wide and thin baffle that requires more baffle-step compensation? What about in the case of an in-wall...

      centre channel problems
      by kcsun
My home theatre setup uses 803di as left and right and an HTM2Di as centre. My ongoing issue is that of intelligibility of speech. I do realise that actors do not speak "proper" any more and do not always face directly to the microphone when talking. (this is why animated movies are usually...

      Centre speaker help

Forgive me if this drags on and on and on but..... I think I have the same problem as alot of people, whenever we watch TV or a film we struggle to listen to the dialogue clearly we then turn the volume up to try and improve the speech only to be deafened when the next crash and bang happens. We have...

RSX-1056 - redirect front mains to centre?
      by Nick T
      Hi everyone,
I'm aware that, with the 1056, you can redirect the front channel amplifiers to
power center back speakers or speakers in Zone 2 speakers. But if i'm running a 6.1 setup (ie using the 1056 and an RB1070 to power the front mains ), i assume its impossible to redirect one of...
