    B&W PV1, to be replaced ?

I'm noticing the B&W PV1 disappearing off retailers websites, a few years old now too. Wondering does anyone know if this model subwoofer is going to be replaced with a new model ?

would think it an ideal match for the new pm1 standmount.

if going to be replaced be keen to know if any word around the traps whether it is a refresh of the current model or a whole sale replacement with something completely different ?

the pv1 is a beaut sub from my experience of it. and just when it has an ideal partner in the pm1 I would hope it doesnt go the way of the dodo.. :E

ps the only info found to date is this thread here from earlier in the month

answer is yes, by the pv1D. basically updated drivers and digital innards and dsp along lines of the DB1. do think needed an update too as had a strange manner of connections. no xover etc. hopefully the update sorts that and this is an even better sub than the pv1 was google of pv1D brings up all sorts !

      by knot_m3
Has anyone try audition between 805s vs PM1 for the front channel of a home theater set?
Now, I already have htm4s for the center channel, Anthem MRX500 for the avr and Martin Logan Dynamo1000 for sub, and I'm deciding to buy a pair of new PM1 or used 805s for the front channels of my home theater...

      B&W PM1 me like
      by dan87951
I bought a pair of the PM1's to try out and after having them a while I really like them!

Foot Print: First of all these speakers are really small and I love how I can stick them just about anywhere without them being the focal point of the room.

      Looks: When I first saw...

PM1 good idea for 10x12 room
      by lastexit
What's your thoughts regarding the PM1 for a small 10x12 room? I'll have a sub and Rotel separates powering them. It's a bit over my budget but I think since its front-ported it will work better with the room and allow me to place them at the back wall. And, from what I understand, the PM1 is an entirely...
