    Cables for B&W 604 S3 advice

    Dear All,

Please help me with some opinions about matching cables for B&W604S3 speakers. They are powered by a Marantz 6010OSE KI.

What I am looking for is cables which "calm" a little bit the tweeters, help with details on midrange and control the bass.

Any advice is more than welcome.

    Thank you all,
    Bogdan

      bantonescu,

First of all, welcome to the forum! :T

As for cables, Cat Cables makes nice performing, quite affordable cables. See the link in the forum.

      Hope this helps.

Yep I agree with Cat Cables and I recently got a pair of Kingcats and Cattails. They are exactly what you are describing that you would want out of cables. The highs are much clearer in a nice way, not bright or harsh and a lot smoother even with the silver cables on a 'bright' system, I use B&W 705s and some people find those bright so hopefully that give you an idea. Bass is more refined and controlled, mids are more airy and soundstage is deeper..hope this helps!

I'm on the other side of the pond & I ordered XLR Kingcats from CAT Cables a while back. I'm totally satisfied! :T :T :T

            B&W 604 s3 VS 703
            by Trevor
I was wondering if I can get some opinions on the 703 series. I have the 604 s3 right now and I love the way they sound. I have been to store 3 to 4 times and listened to the 703 and noticed a big change in the soundstage and a smoother and pronounced mid section with the speakers. I want to know...

New Home Theater Setup - Need Advice on best Rotel(s) to use
            by Adeeb
I am planning my purchases for my new home theater and I need advice on which Rotel(s) would be best for me.

So far I have decided on the following speakers (I will be using 5.1 only and not 7.1):
            604 s3 fronts, LCR600 s3 center, DS6 s3 rears, ASW675 sub
            Note: would love...

Advice needed- sub or new front speakers?
            by kleeper
            Hi all,

New to the forum, though I've been hooked on B&Ws for 8 or 9 years now. Great place. Anyways, I'm looking to add to my setup and was hoping for a little advice from someone who knows more than I do (probably everyone in this forum, as I'll admit I'm a little deficient...

            604's/703's/Surrounds/Sub
            by Loner
I've listened to the 604's and the 703's. The 703's sound much better to my ear, however, the 604's are very good. To me, the 604's sound better than the Energy C-9's (a former option).

The 703's seem overpriced when compared to the 604's. Basically, you get two 604's for the price of...
