Just wondering if the Rotel RB1572 and the RMB1575 will do justice for the power hungry B&W 803S?Will the rotel be more than enough to drive this speakers?Or is there any other options besides other high end gears like krell,Mc,bryston etc.etc,etc....Thanks
Will this do justice?

Palforever,
The 1572 is a very nice amp. I would expect it to drive the 803S well. If you want a bit more, the RB-1092 will offer more current, and improved performance.
If you want to consider used, along with a decent budget, a used McIntosh MC-252 (or MC-352) will be quite awesome. I had one driving 802D's quite well, so I know it will drive the 803S very, very well. It will also allow you to upgrade speakers in the future without needing to upgrade the amp. These can be had for about $3k used on audiogon.
Hope this helps.- Bottom

kmchengOriginally posted by kmchengIt obviously depends on how much you are willing to spend. A somewhat inexpensive experiment is the Emotiva amps. If you do not like them, pay the shipping and return them.
I would`nt like to do that, buy then shipped it back for the obvious reason.Anyway,i went and see my rotel dealer and he advice me to wait for the Rotel flagship RB1590 400wpc and i think i can still wait for the new Rotel.- Bottom

Interesting. The RB1590 sounds like the replacement for the RB1090 (which has been discontinued for a while). That was a Class A/B amp offering 375 watts and a lot of current. It was a dual mono design (each channel had it's own large power supply). The 1090 was a beast. It was priced at $2,000.
Hopefully the new 1590 will carry on that performance tradition.
Keep us posted.- Bottom

by texasbwfanGood Morning,
It may be time for my 805S to go. My new home has a significantly larger family room with ceilings that are 16 ft. tall. The room is also twice as big as the room in my former home. As you can imagine, the 805S are having difficulty providing enough sound for the space....-

by argomartI used to own a pair of B&W 703s and drove it with a McIntosh MA6500 solid state amp. It sounded great in a 12 x 12 room (9ft ceilings); more power than I could most of the time.
I had always planned on trading up to the 804s, but through an odd fluke, the dealer allowed me to go...-

by zillaI've gone from the 600 to the 800 series and have a hodge podge of speakers now. I've made the best of it but have hit a wall. This is going to be lengthy but I'll keep it as brief as I can (not one of my gifts) and appreciate the assistance of any who run the gauntlet.
The primary dilemma...-

by ZoranThis is my first full review of any product after approx. 15 or so years audiophilia behind, so it’s natural I want to share my impressions with audio fellows exactly over here on Htguide forum – IMO the most qualified place today to talk about B&W as consumer.

I am looking to upgrade my speaker to 804S and HTM4 using the Rotel RMB1075/RSP1068 to drive it. I normally listen to CD (bypass mode) and DVD concert music. Anyone know whether he rotel rmn 1075 can drive the 804S. I also have a REL 201 sub in my system. When I listen to the 804S speaker...-
