    Just Ordered 802 Series Diamond

    I just ordered a pair of 802 Series Diamond speakers in color Rosenut. I decided that trying to upgrade my Matrix 802s was a idea that would just would just leave me wanting new speakers. So, I took the plunge. About a month till delivery

              I will let you know. I have heard the old 802Ds and they are significantly better than the Matrix 802. I though the 803D were roughly the same.

                  are you going to get sound anchor stands for them? I have them for my N802's and consider them a requirement...

                              Nice. Curious, were you the guy at CES asking questions about your Matrix speakers? Story seems pretty coincidental.

                                          I've also got the 802 Diamonds in rosenut on order. I ordered them back in November, so hopefully I'll be able to get them relatively soon also.

                                                          The way I look at it is, B&W must have done something pretty unreal with the new bass drivers and tuning in order to eliminate the 801's. The 801's as we know them were the only speaker in the line up to provide low 20 hz performance at -3db... Only time will tell though if the 802's and 800's will be able to reach into the 20 hz territory at -3db.. :E :Z

                                                                      Congratulations Dave!

                                                                      My dealer was saying that the new 802 Diamonds are without a doubt the best deal in the entire line and are well worth the relatively small price increase.

                                                                      However, you will be EXTREMELY lucky to get them within a month. However, they will be worth the wait, however long that turns out to be.

                                                                      You will find an enormous difference in sound quality over the Matrix 802s and the Matrix 802s were pretty good speakers to start with.
