I am considering a year end deal on an 802D and HTM2. Sounds like a new 800 series is coming out. I am curious as to thoughts on how the value of the 802Ds/HTM2 will hold if/when a new series is released next year and the are 802Ds/HTM2 discontinued.

I agree. 802's are quite popular and hold their value pretty well. The diamond series in general and the 802D's in particular are special. If you have a good deal on the table, if you want and can afford them, it's time to do a deal.
When you get the 802D's remember to get the spike kit. You can use the casters for awile until the placement is set. Then put in the spikes.
Also, the midrange covers are attached to a plastic 'bullet'. Remove the bullet and replace it with the metal bullet that comes with it. Obviously, you can't then use the cover again, but the midrange is improved.
Hope this helps.Last edited by htsteve; 28 November 2009, 11:40 Saturday.- Bottom

by RebelManSeveral posts around the forum got me thinking about the popularity of the different B&W series of speakers. I believe of the three primary series (600, 700 and 800) the 600 series is by far the most popular. I just thought I'd post up here that I'm thinking about the 802s... I got offered the 802Ds for a decent price (about 8K, these are demos with about 200 to 300 hours on them max) and after hearing them. They are very nice! I like how the soundstage is absolutely HUGE. In fact...-

by weijstIs there anyone out there who's combining the 'old' Nautilus series with the new 800 series?
The reason I ask is because I'm not sure wether to opt for a pair of N804 or 805S to hook up next to my Nautilus HTM2 ('old series'). I know the ideal match would be a pair of N805, but reading...-

Soooooo....
Ive been looking over audiogon the last few weeks.
And seems like the going rate for a HTM2 is in the 650-800 range and the HTM1 goes for about double that.
Is it worth the extra moola for an HTM1? Kinda what im leaning towards when I finally decide to bite the...-
