I have Transparent through-out my system and have loved every minute of them. Other than standard 12g phoenix gold and kimber kable thats all I've had to compare them too. I took home a set of music waves (there entry level) 10 years ago and transparent hasn't left my house since.
Here's my system:
Sanus Euro Series audio rack
Rotel RLC1040
Rotel RC1082 Pre amp
Rotel RB1080 amp
Integra CDC3.4 6 disk (for the wife)
Denon DVD3910 SACD DVD CD
B&W 683 (wenge' finish) - replaced all internal wining with 12g transparent (huge improvment)
B&W 610XP (wenge' finish)
SOTA saphirre w/premire tone arm and madrigal carnegie cartridge
Transparent Music Wave Super speaker wire
Transparent Music Wave Super Bi-wire links
Transparent Music Link Super interconnects
Dedicated 20amp circut
I highly recommend listening to them and see what you think. For some, it's not their "cup of tea."Magnepan,ARC,VTL,Transparent Audio ;x(
"The term "audiophile" means essentially nothing -- it's a self-anointed status that entails no credentials, qualifications or certifications. It means "hobbyist," nothing more, and anyone can lay claim to it. Ironically, I've come to recognize that "audiophiles" represent a group that will believe almost anything"- Bottom

I have all Transparent cables and I believe that they have made a significant improvement in my system. I have all Classe eqquipment. CDP 300, CP-700, SSP600, Cam 400's and a 5200 amp. I replaced my audio quest cables with all transparent. You can get a great deal on the older cables, but I would look at the MM2 vesion. They really are good. I use Transparent for power cords as well.
Give them a demo in your home and you will be impressed. They are expensive, but they are up their with the best cables on the market.- Bottom

A reminder this is a B W sub forum, not a cable sub forum, cables may only be discussed as they come up in existing threads, and if CAT is active, well, tight reigns apply. I am locking this thread, because it is not directly B & W, thanks for understanding.Doug

by ray5Hi!
I am wondering about ways to hide cables. I used to have the hollow tubes from Home Depot doing that but my Transparent cables are to thick for those. Besides they did a job on my wall when I was taking them off! So what are the options if I do not want to use them nor do I want to drill... -
by Nick DangerI have a much happier tale to bring you all today!
I contacted Doug at Catcable, looking for interconnects for my system. I had been considering and researching alternatives to the cables that I bought when I purchased the Rotel equipment.
Subsequent to buying the Rotel...-

by crytklmasswhich speaker cable do you think is my best option, I have the audio quest rockefeller. (they have 2 black cylinders about 6"long that say 36v) my fronts are 8 feet, I could go 10ft for future expansion. my center is 6 ft, but its a tight fit, so I could bump that up to 8 ft. or buy 2 new fronts...-

by beden1Possible case that speaker wires and balanced versus RCA connections make a difference that I had not considered.
This hobby is complex in nature, and it's interesting that one gets to continue learning along the way through experimentation.
Case in point: I have owned...-
