    Mixing DM600 S3 with new 600 series?

I was wanting to possibly upgrade my front L/R speakers (DM 601 S3) to some 684s or possibly 683s. Does this mean I need to also change my beloved LCR600 S3 center? I know there is a new tweeter so would this mess up the timbre matching of my front soundstage?

Even with upgrades to the line, I would think that B&W wouldn't significantly alter the overall sound of it (it may get closer to neutral, but it won't be the equivalent of, say, moving from a 600 to an 802D). I'd say you'll be fine, but then again, I'm still very new to this level of equipment myself.

That being said, I love my 684s. Great for small to mid-size rooms where stability at higher volumes is necessary (like games).

        DM303 or DM600 S3 or Something else

I am just about ready to purchase some new Home Theater speakers and have been wanting a set of B&W speakers for quite some time but due to my budget constraints I have been strongly considering 4 DM303's, LCR3, and a ASW 300 sub but from what I have read you really need to be in the 600 series...

        Hello everyone,
I am new to B&Ws and new to this forum, so pardon me if my questions sound too newbie. I have noticed other people have had a similar problem (like this guy here: http://www.htguide.com/forum/showthr...highlight=684), but I'd like to hear your thoughts on...

        DM600's and sub crossover settings
        by opt-e
Hi, I recently purchased a HSU STF-2 subwoofer to go with my stereo bedroom system comprised of a Rotel RA-01 amp and DM600 S3 bookshelf speakers. I'm wondering if you guys have any advise as to what to set the sub's crossover to.

B&W has the following specs for my 600's:

        Hey,

I am planning another speaker build for summer. I built the sealed CJD RS150 MTMs (with Seas H1212 tweeters) a couple years ago, and love them. I began doing freelance recording and mixing a year ago and have been using these as my main monitors with great results. I use 4 IB15s...

        by pvs
Hi, I'm thinking about going with the 600 Series 3 for my 7.1 HT. I'm not sure what to get for the rears.

        Front L & R: DM604 S3

        Center: LCR600 S3

        Side L & R: DS6 S3

        Rear L & R: ?
