    Which Rotel amp for 684s?

I want to use my 684s in a 2 channel system as I have downscaled my HT system to 685s and 686s as it is now in a smaller room.

I have the oppurtunity to trade in some of my old gear against a new 2 channel amp but the dealer only carries Rotel & Marantz.

Which Rotel 2 channel should I look at to use with my 684s?

Is it just a power amp you are looking for or an integrated?

If it is just the amp I would go between the 1552 or 1582.. I would think the 1582 would be better, but for cost difference I think you will need to try both and decide.
    Main System:
    B&W 801D
    Emotiva USP-1 Pre-Amp
    Chord SPM-650 Stereo Amp
    Oppo BDP-105
    Squeezebox Touch

    Second System:
    B&W CM7
    Emotiva UMC-1
    Emotiva UPA-2
    Oppo BDP-83SE
    Grant Fidelity DAC-09

Well, then that makes it easy. Between the RA-1520 or the RA-05SE, my choice would be the RA-1520.

But if budget allows I would go for an RC-1580 and a RB-1552 or RB-1582.

I use an RB-1080 amp & RC-1082 pre with my 683's. You should look for used Rotel 10 series gear if your on a budget. Possibly an RC-1072 pre with an RB-1070 with your 684's. There both one step down from the 1080/1082 i have. and your 684's are one step down from the 683's. So it seems to fit. www.audiogon.com is a very popular used gear site. I got my power conditioner off that site.

I bought the Rotel RA-06. Was hardly used and packed away in storage so its in very good condition.

Tested it with my 684s and they power them very nicely. I need a good CD player now to complete my 2 channel system. Currently using a Denon BDP1600 player as a CD player........

Rotel Stereo Amp - Newie questions
                by spadez
                Hi everyone,

I'm looking to move away from my Onkyo 807 surround sound amp and embark on the path of a stereo system. I must admit, I'm not much of a movie person but I love my music.

I'm looking at the Rotel stereo power amp RB-1552. It looks like a beautiful bit of kit....

                RA-1520 as pre-amp
                by jeffreylee
                Hi everyone,
I am looking to upgrade my current set-up consisting of RA-1520, B&W 683, Rega RP3 and Marantz NA7004 (as DAC with Kingrex UC384). Would like to ads more power with RB-1552 (1582 maybe) and use RA-1520 as a pre-amp.
Any experiences or opinions on RA-15250 as pre-amp?...

                Hi all!

I'm kind of new to the boards and I need some help with my new system. I have been saving up for some high-end audio for about 5-years now and what a time to enter the game! I just bought a pair of B&W 803s with a Rotel RB-1582 (200w/c) and RC-1550. First let me just say,...

Hi to all you Rotel members, this is my first post here. After years of passing over Rotel for other brands, I finally decided to give it a try. I have owned those three units for over a month now, and I must say I regret not doing it before.
I have been in search for a satisfying two channel...

First let me say I love this forum. I have been a frequent visitor (and occasional poster) for a few years now.
