? moving to a bigger room 30ft by 20ft, in a medium room vtl s-400 does a great job driving these monsters, does anyone have experience bi-amping [passive] with solid state for low frequencies and tubes for medium/hi, guess you need to match up the voltage gain and experiment???

In my experience bi amping is only successful with identical or closely matching amplifiers ... Thing like gain need to be idential. Anything mismatched will sound worse that single amped.
