PV1 Speaker Line in replacement cable?

    Hi everyone,

I just received my PV1 picked up off of ebay to finish off my bedroom system. It seems the speaker in cable (the telephone type one) was not included. Does anyone know of a higher grade cable to replace it or do I have to go back to B&W and order one of theirs? I have it hooked up using a RCA sub cable on the line in, which is ok, but I would like to try both methods.

My system is 4 FPM5s, one FPM4 for the center, the PV1, Onkyo 875 receiver, Pioneer Elite BD 05 Blue Ray & Elite PRO 141. I'm really enjoying it for music and TV/movies. Band of Brothers on Blu Ray is fantastic!

    Thanks!

You really dont need to buy an upgraded cable. Actually B&W specifically said they look and tested different types (gauge etc) of that "telephone" cable and found no difference. an upgrade will yield no better result.

I used the one that came with it for a couple of yes and it was perfect. I dont use it anymore and still have it. I would recommend ordering the B&W cable in.

ps I was raised in White Rock. Well Ocean Park to be exact :T

thats what i do now too. I used the telephone jack connection when I felt the 2 channel was best left to the CD player and wanted to bypass the processor. With the quality of processors, or at least the direction I plan on moving I just dont see myself running into time where a player would be better then processor.

That's only your bedroom system? Wow, I wonder what you main system is composed of. It must be amazing.

I would suggest ordering the telephone wire from B&W. Currently I have my PV1 hooked up that way straight to the amp and it sounds great. However, based on your current set up I also do not see how you can improve from the RCA connection that you are already using. Unless you add another pre-amp for the CD-player to by-pass the Onkyo receiver, there is really no difference soundwise between the RCA and the telephone wire connections.

I have it hooked up with the RCA and am very happy...I will not bother with the telephone cord, it is working great now! Your input is a big help!

I just upgraded the speakers in my theater from 803s/HTM3s & 705s to 803D/HTM2D & 805s...I love them! I want to upgrade my Processer there but need to save up for the SSP 800.

I will take some pics soon...thx again guys!

I added one of these today to my HT. I had a Pioneer that was built for Radio Shack, still have it. But was always disappointed with the sound.

I think this changer has changed my mind about changers just from the first listen anyway.

I wanted to test it out tonight, since...
