I am considering getting a pair of B&W 802D's and already own Bryston 4BSST and Rotel RB-1092 amps. Trying to decide which of the two amps would suit the 802D's better and sell the other one. Thanks to all of you who provided their input on the Bryston with 802D's on an earlier thread. I am leaning more toward keeping the Rotel RB-1092 for the 802D's. Anyone have any actual experience with this specific combo? As always, thanks a bunch for your advice. Always appreciated!
B&W 802D's and Rotel RB-1092, any thoughts?

I have this combo and I'm very happy with the sound. Some may say the 802d's deserve a more exclusive (expensive) amp, but they certainly appreciate the power. I've got no experience with the Bryston 4BSST, but I'm sure you'd not be dissapointed keeping the 1092.- Mike

I loved my RB-1092 so much I got another for my analogue room. I am using the 'new' one with a RC-1082 pre - a very liquid combination. In my area the RB-1092 is currently selling for $1850 - tough price to beat for the performance.
I might add these are driving a pair of Dynaudio 52SE - very power hungry speakers for bookshelfs.- Bottom

by ED KAfter trying bi-ampiming my 802Ds with a mac 402 and the Bryston 4BSST and getting great results, I was wondering if anyone out there is using the Bryston 7BSST mono blocks with the 802 speakers. The results with the mc 402 driving the mid-high and the Bryston 300amp 4BSST driving the bass drivers was...-

by AdespotaOK today we bit the bullet and ordered a pair of 802Ds to be our front speakers. Our preamp is a Linn Unidisk SC with Synergistic Research active Sig 10 speaker cables and the X2 active interconnects. Our current fronts were 804s which will become our rear speakers.
But we need to replace...-

by TrashI'm looking into possibly trying out the new Rotel RSX-1056 for a new system and using it to power the center and rear channels. I am also considering going relatively 'big' for the L/R mains with a Bryston 4BSST.
This results in a pretty big split between the center and mains (75 watts...-

by digitalshahI am considering getting a pair of B&W 802D's down the road. Can they be powered by a single Bryston 4BSST without sacrificing the sound quality? Anyone who has used this combo before, any thoughts? Thanks-

by dennylHas anyone extensively compared these amps with a good source and set of speakers? I am under the impression that the A21 is somewhat mellow in character whereas the 4bsst is extended but smooth. Also, both seem pretty equivalent in terms of power delivery. I will be using it with a pair of Thiel ...-
