Has anyone extensively compared these amps with a good source and set of speakers? I am under the impression that the A21 is somewhat mellow in character whereas the 4bsst is extended but smooth. Also, both seem pretty equivalent in terms of power delivery. I will be using it with a pair of Thiel MSC1's.

Hiya, dennyl, welcome to the Guide and Club Parasound! I think Brent Huskins can help you out with that--I know he's done a lot of work with both of those models. Brent is also one of our forum sponsors, so if you click on the "Media Design" banner at the top of the screen, you'll get info for Brent.

For those of you who don't know me from AVS, I happen to be one of the largest Halo dealers in the states (located in...-

The results with the mc 402 driving the mid-high and the Bryston 300amp 4BSST driving the bass drivers was...-

by NMyTreeFor what it's worth to you, here's a new review of the Halo A21 Amplifier.
I also want to point out that the reviewer gushes about the "low level detail " of the Halo A21. I can't remember off the top of my head who, but someone had said the A21 had poor "low...-
