    Finding matching mains for HTM1

    I have an HTM1 that I bought last year with the intent of finding some N804's to match with it. Well it never happened so I am wondering if I should just upgrade all three front speakers instead?

    I was thinking of 803S and a HTM3S? Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

    The amps driving the speakers are a Rotel 1080 and a 1095.

      IMO, I would keep the HTM1, and you could match it with the 703, 804 or 803S. The HTM1 is very similar to the HTM3S.

          Will the sound stage be okay with the HTM1 matched with 803S? I didn't think that they had the same drivers and thus would not be a good timbre match?

          What about N803's as a match? I found some that are available. Or is the N804 the right match with the HTM1 if I keep it?

              The HTM1 will match perfectly with the N803 or N804. It was their top-of-the-line center speaker to match all of their 800 series speakers including the N802 and N800, etc.

              I really don't think you will hear any difference with the HTM1 and the current 804 or 803S either. The HTM1 is a great speaker.

                  Im in the process of upgrading to the B&W 800 Series.

                  803s/805s/HTM3s

                  I cannot afford the classe amplifiers, what would you guys recommend? Ive found a couple of Rotel Amp's 1095 5x200watts, but don't know which processor to use, don't like the rotel...

                  Just wondering if you have a chance to purchase a used but perfectly working condition N803 and HTM1 together for us$5000, would you buy it? Or get the 803s and HTM3s.
