    New CT 7.3

I was checking over the B&W web site and noticed they have a new model in their HT section. Model is the CT 7.3, 7.4 and the 7.5 with two matching sub woofers and an out board 1000 watt ICE amp. I could not get clear wording with my PDF reader for size, weight etc but with 2x 8 inch woofers surrounding a FST mid would make it about 22 inches by 12 inches and it looked fairly narrow. Does not come with a front grill and I would presume it is not made with fancy veneers as the MSRP is $1500.00. The speaker caught my eye as it would mate well with my 703's as it has the same driver compliment but sideways. Has anyone heard these yet. Any impressions?

The sound absolutely amazing! :T they actually come with a grille it's magnatically attached. also has great sensitivity (94Db) so you don't need massive amps to run them. They are no fancy fineers indeed but all black so they don't show when hidden behind a cloth. They come with wall brackets though if you want to fix them to a wall.

    Hope this helps.

Has anyone else out there heard or seen these new speakers. I would assume the smallest ones would be comparable to the 705's for surround.

Do I really need 4 inches space around the rt1080?
          by c3lica
I was just gonna stack it underneath my *cd player... but will any harm come to the tuner if it doesn't have 4 inches of space? I guess I find it hard to believe it would get hot enough to matter. I certainly don't want to do anything to shorten its life.

6 inches of airspace for CA-M400 really necessary?
          by garak
          Hi Guys,

I just got a pair of CA-M400. I tried them out yesterday, and they sound great! I ran them for about an hour, and they just got somewhat warm, but nowhere near as hot as my CA-5200 gets.

I need to get a rack for them, and my question is, how hot do they get after...

          12 inches...it does make a difference
          by tboooe
Hi, I have been struggling with my setup for some time now. I have not been happy with the imaging, soundstage, and stereo separation. Unfortunately, due to room constraints I am not able to place the speakers where ever I want them. Initially, I had them set up about 5 ft apart with a sitting distance...

          Danbry,

Well, did they come? are they pretty (and yes that is important)? and how do they sound (in spite of the lack of breakin)?

DVD - You've Come A Long Way Baby
          by George Bellefontaine
This Spring will mark the 5th anniversary of the DVD disc. It sure has come a long way from those (better than laserdisc) non-anamorphic transfers to Columbia's Superbits. I remember when laserdiscs boasted 10,000 titles. I haven't checked lately, but I'd bet DVD has already reached or surpassed that...
