    thanks!

They pretty much jam, need a lot of power, and don't have as much adjustability as other outdoor speakers. The WM4's and 2's aren't worth the money.

For less money the Polk Atrium 55's are really nice as well.

I have the W6's on my patio. They are driven by a Rotel 1062 integrated, 60 wpc I think. They sound very, very good. Far better than other outdoor speakers I've heard. The downside is that they cost more than other outdoor speakers.

This is good to hear, my dealer also recommends speakercraft OE8-three ($800 pr), he says, these sound much better than the WM6's, more bass, (he sells both). Anybody heard the speakercrafts?

Also, do/ would you run these in a mono output? Lots to consider...

No, they are not run in mono. Also, I've had no issues with their build quality.
They are quite durable and they sound good.

Let me just say that I am absolutely amazed at how great the WM6 outdoor speaker sounds. I am using a Rotel 1077 amp to power it, which may be overkill. But, these speakers play incredible loud with great bass response and absolutely precise highs.
I would recommend these to anyone that...

I have an RSX-1056. Love it. Right now I'm just doing 2.1 in my main room, have the rear channels hooked up to my outdoor speakers, and only turn them on in 5Ch stereo mode when I want music in my back yard.

I plan on installing some in ceiling rear speakers to give me 4.1, and eventually...

I am looking to build a pair of speakers for outdoor listening. We recently had a party at our house and I brought out the Paul Carmody designed Tarkus speakers that I built a few years ago. They sounded great and I got a lot of compliments on them. Alas, I need to get them back inside before the...

                Hi All,

I'm a long time lurker, very much into quality music reproduction and HT, and was once a DIY speaker builder (in high school!). My reason for this post is the tremendous knowledge base (or is that bass ) found here and that no commercially available product appears to fit the...
