    How am I sitting?

Hello all, new here and looking forward to good things. In a few days I will take in a pair of 683's, a pair of 685's, asw10 and an htm61. I will run them with a Rotel rsp985 pro/pre and a RMB-1095. I am greatly looking forward to the expected sound improvement but am wondering about the output of the amp as it pertains to the smaller 685's. Am I going to need to be really careful with the 200 watt amp into 100 watt recomended loudspeaker? Or is it more down to a matter of common sense? Thanks in advance.

Common sense is all you need.

Most problems are caused by underpowered amps sending out nasties.

I wouldn't worry about it. Your going to have to play quite loud and uncomfortable levels before you actually get 200 watt outputs. If you listen at moderate levels I doubt you'll ever have a problem.

How much space should there be between two B&W 685s?
I think current space is about 3.0-3.5 m.

Also a question about vocals and B&W 685.I sometimes hear like vocals sound tiny(music is more dominant than vocals) and/or vocals are singing from a bit far away,is it cause...

I have 685s and no idea what to do with them

        Hello all,

I have some old, terrible Sony receiver hooked up to a brand new pair of B&W 685s. I will be using them 80% with TV/Movies with 20% mp3/CD music. I assume I need a new receiver ( perhaps not) but the real core of the issue is that I have no idea what an amp/pre amp is...

I believe good information will get lost soon, so I formally request that a mod sticky this and potentially lock it, as this is fact and not up for debate.
