I own a pair of 803D's which serve as fronts in my home theater system. I drive them, the center speaker, a HTM2D, and four surrounds, B&W Sig 7's, with a McIntosh MC207 which give me 200W into 7 channels. Since I have yet to encounter pretty much anything in 7.1 surround (everything seems to be 5.1), I have been contemplating bi-amping the fronts using the two channels which now run the rear speakers. I should mention that I also have a sub, the Velodyne DD15 which of course has it's own amp. I run the 803D's in large mode, i.e. full range, and just add the sub for frequencies below 60Hz. Since I run them full range, I thought that maybe another 200W (giving a total of 400W per speaker) could be useful since I read a lot about how power hungry the B&W's are. Any thoughts?
