    Bi-Wire or Single?

I am waiting for the Rotel 1095 to arrive and set up
    my 804S's.

Dealer told me Saturday no need to bi-wire due
to the design of the speakers?

B&W manual states "at minimum, bi-wire" the speakers
and this is in line with what I have read in forums and
    pro-reviews.

If I Bi-Wire both sets of termianls will be used so what
do I do with the jumpers?

    Appreciate any feedback. :W

If you bi-wire, leave the jumpers in the box. There is no need to use them at all.

You're better off getting better quality wire (single) than to get bi-wire.

        Hi Tuddy,
I just found this board, so I'm new here as well. I just bought a Rotel 1095 to power my B&W804S. I am single wiring my 804S at the moment with good speaker wire and they sound FANTASTIC. May try biwiring someday, but I'm very happy with my setup.

Regarding the 1095, I really think you will like it. I upgraded from a receiver to Rotel separates and it really made a difference and made the 804S come alive.

        Cheers,
        John

And if you want to make them sound even better, get some SilverCats or KingCats interconnects... You'll think you just bought new equipment and speakers (seriously).

The silver interconnects over copper is a major increase in soundstage/detail/clairity/bass response. I highly recommend adding those as you can. Start off with just a L/R set and see where it goes from there.

I have posted my opinion elsewhere on this forum a couple of times after trying shotgun and biwire for myself on the 804s.

If you like the sound you are getting with "shotgun" single wire then there is the argument "why change". If you are about to purchase some new wires then rather that restating my opinion I will just recommend that you try both with a couple of familiar recordings. If you are like me the decision will be easy after that.

                by legion1capone
I have read and understand that both have there pros and cons. What I'm wondering is what are people running with there B&W's on this forum?
I am looking at the River cable starflex SPX11 Gauge speaker cable to use with my 705's. They sell it in both a single cable and biwire cable. What...

                Hello all;
I am asking for an advice about the best cable to make two pairs of jumpers for my B&W speakers. I don’t like the original ones and besides I loss it. I wave a Transparent Super MM single wire. I am not sure but I think transparent doesn’t sell cable without termination and...

Single vs Dual Channel Measurements, or why friends don’t let friend use USB mics
                by Reet
What does single channel or dual channel measurement really mean, and what are the implications of choosing one over the other? This document aims to help answer this.
Strictly speaking, a microphone is a single channel of audio input, in that it is a mono signal. USB microphones which include integrated ADC and USB codec can be considered a single channel device.

Dual channel would be a measurement which includes a second channel of signal input in addition to the microphone....

                jumpers on AV-receiver
                by Arnold van Oostrum
My AV-receiver has jumpers on the backside for each channel that connects the pre-amp part with the poweramp part. If using an external poweramp, the jumper for the channel has to be removed.

These jumpers are thick metal brackets. I saw that i.e. Audioquest has specific jumpers made...

Lost my Nautilus HTM1 speaker jumpers
                by pasadena
                Hi,

I seemed to have lost my Nautilus HTM1 6" speakers jumpers and want to know if B&W sell these as a separate item since the NHTM1 is a discontinued product?

Otherwise, is anyone here willing to part with their speaker jumpers at a cost? What about third-party...
