Need Advice: Best bookshelf Speaker? Low power handling

I am looking to buy my first B&Ws to replace a pair of missions that came with a small denon personal component system. The am is only 70 watts (35 x 2) so i wanted a pair of b&ws that dont need a lot of power to sound good. I assume I need a pair with a power handleing rating of 25 or 30 w, so I was looking at the 600 series, dm600 or dm601 or the discontinued CDM1 or CDM2.
I know the only way to achieve the true potential would be to upgrade the system, but it is for an office and I just want the best sound with what i got. Anyone that is familiar with the lines and has any advice on a good pair of small speakers.

I would agree with 600 or 601 (S3 of course). I owned both. I had 600s first. Very impressive even as main speakers. Yes, the 601s are fuller, but they do require more power and a space of their own.

I would go with the 600's for the system you are using and where you are using it.

I use dm600 driven by a 4 watt per channel amp in my office. Plenty of good sound.

              Power Handling

Power handling refers to the maximum amount of electrical power a loudspeaker can handle without suffering damage or performance degradation. It is a manufacturer specification that indicates the speaker's ability to handle different power levels and is typically measured in watts (W). The factors that determine power handling are varied:
