What to do.
Well......... I got a pair of 602's3 in a seperate room that were recently powered by a rotel rb1070 and rc1070, which is a pretty good combo,but Iam always foolin around ,so I tried swapping out some gear to see what the 602's could do. I dug around and pulled out my old Son of Ampzilla, which in my opinion always gives good imagining and depth, and it did. Then I tried a Phase Linear amp and pre and things started to really open up a bit. The final test was the Carvers, the m500t had the kick, but it sounded a bit on the bright side, where the Phase sounded a bit warmer to my old ears. I ended up with the Phase 400 and used the Carver 4000 for the pre amp. In my opinion it sounded the best to me. I dont think that you will go wrong with the Sunfire, if your lucky to get it. You really have to have the abillity to hear an amp or pre amp hooked up to your speakers to judge for yourself. Its alot of money to shell out for an amp, and not heard it with your set up if you know what I mean. I hope it works out for ya.

It appears that my ears prefer the wavelength of a smaller driver. After trying dual then one Velodyne DD18 in my room, I found that they were not able to produce the musical bass I like. Rel subs have a high level connection via the left + & - and the right + only at the speaker connections on the power amp. They also allow you to have this high level connection and a low level connection hooked up at the same time.
