    Broken N804 tweeter and housing??

My child just knocked over my speaker and broke the housing and the whole tweeter on my N804. How do I go about replacing this item and what would the cost be for the part?

    Thank you

    Hi Rodh,

You would need to buy a new housing and tweeter from B&W,and get it installed by a suitable dealer.

I almost bought a pair of 803ds that had damaged tweeter units, and spoke to B&W about the cost of replacement. On the diamond series,it costs 500 uk pounds per unit, plus fitting costs. They refit the tweeter unit by first removing the mid-range unit,to get access.I guess it would need to be a qualified person to do this...804 Nautilus should hopefully cost considerable less that this.

I e-mailed B&W to get the cost and info, they were very helpful,so this would be the first step.second would be buying a pair of 800ds,i.e. too heavy to be knocked over!

Thanks for the reply. I didn't know B&W would give out that info, good to know. As for the 800d, I don't have the money or space, but they are great. I actually really like me 804, I just need to find a floor stand or something to put in the bottom to weigh them down a bit more. THANKS!!!

How to replace tweeter on Matrix 801 S3
        by JürgenW
In the thread 'How to replace tweeters on Nautilus and Signature speakers' DM3000 Owner answered my question about replacing tweeters on the Matrix 801 S3 (and S2) as follows:
        "I did a Matrix tweeter.
You can do it two ways. Both require removing the tweeter housing.

        Price for B&W Nautilus Tweeter
        by junior77blue
Unfortunately I just had a 'spill' with my HTM2 Nautilus center channel speaker.

The tweeter housing is in many pieces, the dome is completely crushed in.

Funny enough, I can still play it and sounds 'good' enough.

But, of course I need to replace it. The...

Loose diamond tweeter housing on 802D
        by mohawk155
        Hello Everyone,

I'm new to this forum as well as to B&W loudspeakers. I purchased a demo pair of 802Ds from my local dealer and I have the following "problem".

The tweeters are obviously setup to float on top of the midrange housing. The issue is that they...

        Loose tweeter housing
        by scanido
        Hi All,

I have had my beloved 804S for almost a year now. Today when cleaning the tweeter housing i noticed that one of my speakers has a significantly looser tweeter housing than the other.

On the first speaker the tension from side to side is snug yet flexible enough...

        Is htm2d tweeter housing removable?
        by Tony1
Noticed that the black tweeter housing is less than 1/4" turned pointing to the left. Does anyone know how the black tweeter housing mounted to the cabinet and if its removable? I want to know if I will be able to straighten the housing out.

        Thanks,
        Tony
