What are the rest of your speakers ( set-Up ) so we can give you advice?? If you have 600 series speakers then the sub should match in timbre and are known to be great for HT.
Are you an HT or Music fan? Is it for stereo use or Multichannel? How did you set up your sub and what is the set up of your Processor with the Sub? We need some input from you to give you an answer.
    Hope to hear from you?
    Cheers

I have all 4 602.5s3 for main and rear and a lcr60 for the center channel
i have the speaker setup to small on the denon 3805 which i will be upgrading to a rsp-1068/rmb-1075 combo next week. i am about 60 percent home theater 40 percent music. i listen to music in 2ch plus the sub for music, the crossover in the denon i have played with between 100hz and 80 hz i normally run it at 80Hz the sub volume level is about 1/4 of the way up and the lfe is 0db on the denon

I have the asw750 and it was like that as well...not very tight. I would suggest 1st playing with the location of the subwoofer (I moved it away from the corner). I also treated my room with a few acoustic panels and played with my receiver adjustments and it sounds much more tighter now. The quality of the movie/music source also seems to make some slight differences. Play a good quality cd that has a lot of bass and play with the location and settings as a start.

the sub has 2 line inputs and my receiver has 1 sub out, i currently only use 1 cable going out of my denon to my sub, i threw a Y cable in at the sub so i now use both inputs at the sub and it seems to make a big difference.

i always thought it didnt matter (its mono). i am a bit confused ops:

            B&W dub

            @boxer82003,

            My set up
            B&W 703 main,
            center HTM7
            rear CDM7NT
            SUB 750

            Rotel Rsp1068 & Rmb1075

the 750 find i well, strong --> the right location is important but with 1k watt
is not so important a corner, try&try and try.

What is the source of your CD player?? That could be the problem too !! Move your Sub around ,and try and keep it to the side of your room..I mean against the wall ,but in the middle of the room, as sometimes that can fix the problem!! Just suggestions, but do try them ,as they may work for you.
              Cheers

I experienced the same with the ASW675 and the ASW700/750... I believe they're all great for movies, but since I was looking for a more musical sub (i.e. tight bass) I eventuelly went with the Velodyne SPL-1200R. Now that's one tight sub! Looks fabulous aswell (not unimportant...).

I always thought the ASW 750 had very good tight bass. Anyway, that is what a friend of mine has, and I thought it to be very tight and accurate. I have the ASW 855 and 2 of them by the way,so I know what is tight bass ,and the 800 series SUBs have just that ,and very musical with movies or music!!
Sorry, I personally prefered the ASW 855 over any Velodyne sub in any category, and That Is my honest opinion ,and my ears,
                  Cheers.

I use an ASW800 with my N804 and am very happy with the tightness of the bass - not muddy at all. In fact, if I could find another ASW800 in cherry I would buy it just to have 2. At times I turn off the sub to just listen to the N804 and there is defintiely a difference to be heard.

I have the asw750! And as a drummer and bass guitarist, I know that word TIGHT!! I´m sure that you can get better, but the asw750 is fantastic! :T

I have an ASW750 integrated into a 2-channel system and I'm very pleased with it. Good tight bass.

My only criticism of the ASW750 is the lack of a remote volume control. For good integration it is essential that the volume of the sub is just right. This means adjusting the volume for each new CD or DVD.

I have found that the best integration is achieved by having the sub dead centre between the floorstanders at the same distance from the listening position as the floorstanders.

I have the opportunity to try out a Denon AVR-3805 for a few days. I'll be posting my impressions here.

                          Feature Highlights

The 3805 is loaded. It supports all the latest surround formats, including Dolby ProLogic IIx, DTS ES Discrete/Matrix, DTS 96/24, DTS NEO:6, Dolby...

I have a problem with my new Receiver, Denon AVR 3805. When I play a DVD encoded with Dolby Digital 5.1 (connected to OPT1 input) and try to use the Surround Back speaker I only get PLIIx Music and can't get PLIIx Cinema as an option. Of course SB Channel is set to on.

                          Each time...

                          which B&W for a Denon AVR-3805?
                          by Laurent
I used to have a NAD amp and two Mission 753 loudspeakers which I have upgraded to a HT set. I currently own a Denon AVR-3805 and use 5 Mission loudspeakers (as well as a Rell subwoofer). While my HT experience is ok I am a bit disappointed by the pure musical one: lack of dynamics and sound precision....

                          Hi,
                          I'm new to the forum.
I currently have Denon avr-3805. I'm thinking of getting Rotel 1080 to power the FL/FR channel. Does anyone try it and how does the sound improved compair to Denon alone? And Can i still use Denon as 5.1 movie? I mainly listen to music 80% and 20% is for home...

                          Hello,

I just bought a Denon AVR-3805 and a DVD-2900 in Norway. I really liked the Auto Calibration of the AVR-3805: It works very well as far as I can hear.

However, then comes the disappointment: When playing SACD or DVD-Audio, I have to use the Ext. In connection that...
