    Newb needing help w/speaker selection

    Hi all,
I'm new to both the forum and to quality audio. My previous ht was a htib system that cost $300 for receiver and speakers. Needless to say it was a real pos. While I'm still on a budget, I do have a little more $$ to spend and after doing a bit of research, I've purchased a yamaha rxv659 reciever, 2 used b&w nautilus scm-1 speakers for my fronts, an infinity center channel(can't remember which model# the infinty is) and a rocket ulw10 sub. While I AM on a budget, I do want a quality sound system(mostly for ht use with limited music...maybe 75% ht, 25% music) Now that I have the b&w fronts, I want to get some used b&w for my surrounds. Can't buy new(toomuch $$) but am shopping around for some used. I can't seem to find any scm-1, so my question is if anyone knows if other models like the lm1, dm 302, 600 s3, would be a good match for the fronts. Any other suggestions?
    Any help would be apprciated.

From what I've learned and been told. You might want to think about replacing the center channel and using anything left over for the surrounds. If you use this setup to watch movies, most of your information comes out of the center. You'd want to match that up as close as possible. It sounds like you don't need high end surrounds right now, just something to reproduce the sound.

I am in kind of the opposite situation. I bought brand new DM603s3's to replace my Paradigm Titan bookshelfs. Those Titan's are now my surrounds, but I lack a center channel. I don't watch many movies so it's not important to me that I get one. Though now I am trying to decide between a new Receiver or a center...

I'd say try to decide if a better center is more important then the surrounds.

Try www.audiogon.com if you don't already know about it. I have been a fan of hi-fi for years and consider myself an internet god, and I just found out about that site a few weeks ago.
